Bioinformatics and Data Centre (BDC)
The Bioinformatics and Data Centre, in collaboration with Centrum f枚r Medicinsk Genomik, offers new high-throughput techniques, including next-generation sequencing (NGS), for clinical and pre-clinical research as part of Genomic Medicine Sweden (GMS) and SciLifeLab Clinical Genomics. Additionally, we provide bioinformatics and statistical analysis, data integration, and visualization of genomic, proteomic, and epidemiological data, among other services.
Networks and links
The Center for Medical Genomics (CMG) contribute to the coordination and development of care for patients with cancer, hereditary diseases and rare diagnoses. Broadly, CMG offers genetic laboratory techniques and analyses within all healthcare areas, including research and development.
Clinical Genomics Gothenburg (CGG) is one of the seven nodes from the CG platform at SciLifeLab. CGG was established in January 2016 as a collaboration between the Sahlgrenska Academy at the University Av性爱 and the Laboratory Medicine at the Sahlgrenska University Hospital. Its mission is to facilitate translational research and help bridge the gap from research to clinical routine.
We are one of the seven Genomic Medicine Centres (GMC) within GMS. GMC West is a collaboration between the University Av性爱, the Sahlgrenska University Hospital and SciLifeLab, where we act as the primary point of contact for sequencing patient samples within healthcare, creating an integrated platform for both healthcare delivery and advanced medical research. Moreover, we are establishing a joint national infrastructure that will also facilitate the analysis, interpretation and storage of genetic data.
