Sexual consent– interpretations, perceptions and communication among young adults in Sweden

Short description
The aim of this dissertation is to explore different angles of sexual consent, from the perspective of young adults, focusing on their narratives of sexual consent (or non-consent). How young adults interpret, comprehend and communicate sexual consent is of interest. The thesis is qualitative, and the methods used are interviews and diaries.
The thesis concerns young adults and sexual consent and highlights and provides an understanding of young adults’ narratives on sexual consent as a concept and in practice.
It is an qualitative thesis and the empirical data is based on interviews with 19 young adults between 16 and 21 years old.
